photoshoots, photoshoots and more photoshoots!

I've been a bit tardy in updating my makeup blog...please forgive me. I have been crazy busy lately - aside from chasing after my 1 year old son, I've been involved in a number of fashion photoshoots.

It's been great working with different models and photographers in Vancouver and the images being produced are beautiful!

Though a main focus of my business is bridal makeup (don't get me wrong, I LOVE working with my blushing brides), I do have a heart for fashion and beauty makeup. These photoshoots have given me a great outlet to be super creative and do more unconventional makeup - the kind of makeup my beautiful clients tend not to want on their wedding day.

Here are a few images from my latest photoshoots:

I'll be posting more images as they come and will be doing a revamp of my website! For all those reading my blog and checking my website...please leave your thoughts and comments! Your opinions mean a lot!

My Kit

A lot of potential clients always ask the question, "What kind of products do you use?" So to answer this, I thought I'd post a picture of my kit and the majority of its contents. The below photos were taken after I had 'edited' my kit considerably.

Products in my kit include: MAC, Lancome, Smashbox, Makeup Forever, Laura Mercier, Chanel, Stila, Kiss Me and Mark cosmetics.

Though I do carry other products for the eyes, I tend to stick to MAC shadows because their pigmentation is always consistent and require little effort to apply. I have a variety of foundations of different brands to accomodate the many skin types of my clients - from dry to oily, combination or sensitive.

After years of experience, I've found the bulk of my kit caters to all of my client's individual needs.

Welcome to my new makeup blog!

2008 is going to be a fabulous year!

After revamping my website, I thought I'd start a makeup blog to keep my awesome clients in the loop of the latest makeup trends and what I've been up to in the fabulous world of makeup! It'll also be a great way for new and prospective clients to get a glimpse of my personality and the quality of work I produce.

SO WELCOME...and thanks for reading up to this point.

For 2008 I solemnly swear to:

- not make this blog painfully boring
- not toot my own horn (too much!)
- educate women on how to apply beautiful makeup :
caked makeup = PUKE!
- be consistent with this blog!
- be myself.

Email me any questions, comments...anything! Really, I'd love the hear from you.
